Almost home...Prayers for HaitiHello Everyone! We are back in the states thanks to our AMAZING pilots and God keeping a watchful eye on us -- we arrived
around 5:30 pm today safe and sound. We all can't wait to get home and see our families and tell all about our life changing
adventures. We want to thank you for your support and prayers. Tomorrow we take off for Cincinnati and then jump on a plane
shortly after for Indianapolis. BACK HOME AGAIN IN INDIANA! Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we return
home and continue to pray for our family in Haiti, especially now as they are going through tragedy. Shortly after landing
in Florida, we received word that a major earthquake struck Haiti after we left. The 7.0 quake occured about 10 miles southwest
of Port-au-Prince just before 5 p.m. We finally got a hold of Don and Karen - they informed us that they were okay and that
they had seen some cars shaking. CNN stated that since the earthquake they have had 13 after shocks, the strongest one being
a 5.9. For the past 3 days they have dealt with flooding, riots, and now an earthquake. I can't imagine the chaos and terror
going on, but I know for sure they need us to pray. I feel that we all can learn so much from Haiti -- there
faith and love for each other and God is tremendous. God Bless!

January 10, 2009What a blessed day today has been. This morning we attended New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Pastor Joseph Saintil gave me
the opportunity to preach. Speaking with an interpreter makes me a little nervous but I chose a topic that made it easier--Jesus!
:) After the message, Pastor Joseph offered the invitation and three people came forward. Two accepted Christ as Lord and
Savior and one rededicated his life to Jesus! Friends, THAT'S what it's all about. As we left Pastor Joseph's church,
the rain started in. It was raining so much that we were unable to travel in the back of the truck so Pastor Joseph was kind
enough to transport some of us back to the dorm. We just finished lunch and me, Kasey, Emily, Missy, Jacob, and Leah are resting
in the dorm. Bill, Stan, Adrienne, and Julie are going to EBAC to see the children. At 3:30, we will be attending English
church and listening to a former missionary to Haiti share during the service. Tomorrow is our last full day in Haiti.
We will be visiting an orphanage ran by Ray and Bonnie VanSlyke and hosting Cheron Hardy for dinner. We will also spend part
of the day cleaning the dorm and preparing for our departure. We fly out of Haiti on Tuesday so I'm sure many of you will
recieve phone calls from us on Tuesday evening!! We arrive back in Indy around 5:40pm on Wednesday. Please continue
to pray for our team as we finish the week! We have so many stories!!!

January 8, 2010Today we drove for 45 minutes to pass out christmas bags that we actually put together at Cornerstone. It was amazing
to see the looks on these kids faces when they opened the bags. One thing that really sticks out in my mind while we
were there, a little girl opened a piece of butterscoth candy. She put it in her mouth and then took it out and let
another little girl taste it. And when she was done she gave her the candy back. The children sung songs for us
before and after we passed out the bags. The ride there and back was a story in itself!! Believe me, you have
not seen a pothole until you go to Haiti! We were very fortunate to have four translaters with us today. They
were: Ricardo, Frantz, Nadene and Manuacha. What a big help the four of them were. After we got back some of us
went to the radio station and listened to Em and Adrienne "cut" a CD. They also sung a few songs with Nadene
and Manuacha. Later we walked to EBAC an orphanage nearby and played with the kids. We took popcorn (that Bill
popped) and kool-aid for the kids there. Also, we had necklaces, bubbles and airplanes that we passed out to them. (thank-you
Walmart Dist). We also took fingernail polish to paint the kids nails. We enjoy spending time with these kids,
to play with them and form relationships with them. Julie D.

Thursday, January 7, 2010Hi Everyone!!
Emily here. :)
To start the day off we went to Sister Gilda's orphanage. It was
quite the trip getting there. The roads here are something.. We thought we were going to get lost in some of the potholes
(or craters) in the road. :-) They are horrible.. We got to share some airplane toys with kids at the orphanage and they
loved them. It is quite an experience being with the kids here. They have nothing, but are so happy. They don't need toys
or material things to satisfy them.
We also got the pleasure of going to E.B.A.C. orphanage today. It was
amazing! We fell in love with the kids there. They spoke english too, so it was extra special. :) We are planning on going
back tomorrow.
I think it is safe to say that this trip has not only changed my life, but the lives of everyone
who is on this trip. We have laughed, cried, and shared great times together. God is working in our hearts, that's for sure.
I absoutely love the team and can't wait to see how God is going to continue working in our hearts for the remainder of the
time we're here. I can't believe it is already Thursday!!
For I am the Lord , your God, who takes hold of your
right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. -Isaiah 41:13 God is definitely here with us this week. He
is our protection.
His Amazing Grace, Emily

Wednesday, January 6, 2010We had an amazing day yesterday! The day started with us visiting a missionary couple named Tom & Helen. This
faithful couple has been in Haiti for around 8 years and are finishing up their mission. They will head back to Canada in
May. Please be praying for this couple as they have a LOT of stuff to wrap up before they leave. They also need prayer for
their land. They are in a dispute with the government regarding who owns the piece of property. We also went to
an orphanage that is being built. IDEDEE was a vision God laid on the hears of former orphans. They are in need of money and
supplies. Finally, we met a missionary named Cheron Hardy. (The website is: www.eternalhopeinhaiti.org) The only
thing I'm going to say about that experience was that it was amazing! We are going to be sharing more when we return. Please
continue to pray for our team. We are having a great time and are all safe and healthy. After breakfast, we will be visiting
another Sister Gilda and her orphanage. For those that remember, this is the place the AWANA kids sent the chickens. We are
hoping to post pictures soon. In Christ Alone, -DAVE

WE'RE HERE!!Safely in Haiti. We ran through a storm cloud in the MFI plane and had a little bit of an issue with the turbulence
for about 5 minutes, but everybody made it through without a scratch! Bill, Adrienne, and Leah each got to sit up in
the cockpit and Leah and Emily got to try their hand at being stewardesses!
Ray and Bonnie VanSlyke (who
have an orphanage here) were flying back in so we had them join us for lunch and got an opportunity to visit for a while.
This afternoon was spent unloading, unpacking, going through the Christmas Bags that are here, and relaxing. Don and
Karen Davis (our host family), their "daughter" Vero and "granddaughter" Abbie came for dinner and were
able to visit with them this evening. Their testimony is amazing...talk about FAITH!!
Tomorrow we will visit
three orphanages and see more of Haiti. Hopefully we'll be able to post some pictures too.
Until tomorrow...
